N a i l s t o N i c k e l s is the product of a gal with too much free time on her hands and the strange desire to learn a skilled trade like those in colonial times. After spending six or so months as a jewler’s apprentice, watching many hours of the Tyra Banks Show, destroying hundreds of dollars in precious metals, being paid exclusively in tacos and figuring out new ways to give herself third-degree burns, she decided to start her own line. Her biggest challenge was finding the time to do this in between going to school full-time, continuing to work for her boss, Robin and being an internet quasi-celebrity
